Edcare, Education Care Rehabilitation Organization is much pleased about the efforts of the Government of Tamil Nadu in handling the Covid Pandemic, with absolute care for the citizens.

The website thus launched by the government is real informative. The information is such that any user can selectively look at the vacancies available with the Government or Private hospitals or both, in any of the districts in Tamil Nadu. Further, the medical institutions are divided into three categories viz., 1. CHO – For Severe Cases 2. COVID Health Centres CHC – For Moderate Cases and 3. COVID Care Centres CCC – For Mild Cases.

Further to this, the information about each hospital is very concisely stated. The website could easily be shared in most of the social media, is impressive for its faster propagation. The addition of direct dialing of phone number, and the Location and the Sharing feature is all very thoughtful, user friendly and most relevant.

Such being the wonderful work, Edcare feels that a few more points be considered to make it more effective.

Edcare calls for the User dialog boxes in English, also be put in Tamil as the infocards are.
  1. The website contains infocard images in Tamil. We are sure the search dialog boxes may also be put in Tamil, to a possible extent.
  2. At some places, the spell of the names of the districts is not much standardized. Say for example, it is Tiruchirappalli is spelt differently.
  3. Edcare further desires that there be a communication blog in the website, in case of any user facing a problem.
  4. Tiruchirappalli municipal corporation, during swach bharath campaign promoted a QR image, enabling the residents to scan it and vote for the city online. May be such QR Code also be promoted for ease in Typing the long acronyms.

All said, Edcare, Education Care Rehabilitation Organization is happy and thankful about the good initiatives of the government, its various departments and the local bodies and the many medical, nursing, sanitary personnel and the police in the implementation of lockdowns and also the media at enabling a communication channel among the government, people and the executive.
